Coordinator, voice and opera program. Tenor. Kurt Hansen '83 MMus is a specialist in oratorio, most notably the J. S. Bach Passions. He has performed as a soloist in Europe, South America, Asia, and the United States, including engagements with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra under Sir Georg Solti and Claudio Abbado, the Omaha Symphony Orchestra, St. Louis Symphony, Milwaukee Symphony, Minnesota Orchestra, and Music of the Baroque. Also a frequent recitalist and performer in opera, Hansen has recorded on the Lyra label with Music of the Baroque and Colorado Mahlerfest.
