Recorded Audition Specifications

1. Either a Mozart or Weber concerto: 1st movement exposition and half of the slow movement (unaccompanied)
2. One Milde Concert Study
3. Two standard orchestral excerpts

Recorded Audition Specifications
Record 20 minutes of music consisting of repertoire you would play during a live audition. Repertoire should be pulled from the requirements listed on the Cello Audition Requirements page. The recording may be over 20 minutes if desired.

Recorded Audition Specifications
Repertoire should be unaccompanied when applicable.

1. One movement from a Bach suite or another equivalent work from the 16th-18th-century repertoire
2. Prelude, sonata, or theme and variations by Sor, Giuliani, Ponce, Torroba, Turina, Villa-Lobos, Brouwer, or equivalent repertoire
3. Etude by Carcassi, Sor, Brouwer, Villa-Lobos or equivalent repertoire.

Recorded Audition Specifications

1. One major, one harmonic minor, AND one melodic minor 3-octave scale in the keys of your choice
2. Two contrasting solo pieces of your choice (unaccompanied)
3. Three orchestral excerpts selected from the list on the Double Bass Audition Requirements page

4. Mussorgsky/Ravel "Pictures at an Exhibition" 'Bydlo'.
5. Strauss "Ein Heldenleben" 1 bar before 3 to 4; 8 to 7th bar of 13; 62-75; 79-80.

Recorded Audition Specifications

Please include contrasting movements and styles (unaccompanied), including orchestral excerpts reflecting the requirements listed on the flute Audition Requirements page. The recording can exceed 20 minutes if it allows you to finish a movement.

4 minutes each of: a Bach piece, a movement from a classical sonata, and a romantic work; 3 minutes from a contemporary or impressionist work. Your recording should contain about 15 minutes of playing total. All materials should be memorized.

1. Full range D & Eb major scales slurred
2. Full range F & G harmonic minor scales slur 4/tongue 4 pattern.
3. Chromatic scale (low Bb to high F#) slurred.
4. Two contrasting (one lyrical, one technical) études - should NOT be the same études used in prescreening.
5. Up to 12 minutes of one complete, multi-movement classical work OR 2-3 movements from different works (unaccompanied). If the work is longer than 12 minutes, you may select excerpts. Excerpts should display lyrical and technical capabilities.

OPTIONAL: If you have a background in jazz that you would like to demonstrate, you may present a jazz selection such as a transcription, étude, or improvisation.

4. Prokofiev Symphony No. 5: begin at rehearsal #3 and end 8 measures after rehearsal #5.
5. Strauss "Ein Heldenleben": begin at rehearsal #62 and end after rehearsal #65.
6. Wagner Overture to "Die Meistersinger": first 27 measures.

1. Two contrasting movements of any solo suite, sonata, or partita by Bach
2. Approximately 6 minutes of a first movement from a major concerto (unaccompanied)
