New Music

The Institute for New Music functions as the nerve center of all contemporary music activities at Northwestern University.

A teeming world of marine life, displayed on 89 giant panels, immerses viewers inside a thriving coral ecosystem.

Three movements of Kile Smith’s The Waking Sun anchor this program, featuring the Bienen Contemporary/Early Vocal Ensemble and University Chorale, conducted by Donald Nally, Matthew Cramer, and Corey Everly.
