The Northwestern University Chamber Orchestra's program opens with the overture to Rossini's opera La Cenerentola, based on the Cinderella fairy tale, and continues with Tchaikovsky's delicate Prayer from his Suite No. 4 in G Major. Rounding out the evening is Mozart's colorful "Prague" Symphony—premiered in that city in the while the composer was still enjoying accolades for The Marriage of Figaro.
