Celebrating 30 years together in 2025 and recognized for its “explosive vigor and technical finesse” by the New York Times, the Miró Quartet is a winner of the Banff International String Quartet Competition and the Naumburg Chamber Music Competition. During its anniversary season, the quartet launches new collaborations with saxophonist Steven Banks and bass-baritone Joseph Parrish, and makes concert appearances at the Kennedy Center, Music@Menlo, Chamber Music Detroit, and Music Toronto, among other North American venues. In May 2024, the quartet released its second album on the Pentatone label, Home, featuring two new commissions by Kevin Puts and Caroline Shaw together with music by George Walker and Samuel Barber.

About
Pick-Staiger is a 972-seat hall located in the Arts Circle on the Evanston campus of Northwestern University. The main lobby entrance for concerts is on the west side of the building (revolving and regular doors). Since its inception in 1975, the hall has functioned as both a classroom and performance facility for Bienen School of Music performing ensembles, faculty recitals, festivals, and professional guest artists.
