Principal harpist of the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Marguerite Lynn Williams has received critical praise for her “ravishing harp artistry” (Charleston Today) and “seamless technical polish and lyric sensitivity” (Chicago Classical Review). An avid chamber musician, she is a founding member of the Chicago Harp Quartet, International Chamber Artists, and harp and flute ensemble La Folia. A faculty member at both the Bienen School of Music and Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of Performing Arts, Williams is the founder and director of student group the Chicago Harp Ensemble. She presents a solo harp recital focused on dance music from Asia, Europe, and Latin America spanning from the 17th to 20th centuries. Featured composers include J. S. Bach, Béla Bartók, Ernesto Lecuona, Marcel Tournier, and Ekaterina Walter-Küne.

Located in the Ryan Center for the Musical Arts, this 400-seat hall features a 40-foot glass wall offering views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline. Undulating walls of Forest Stewardship Council–certified wood, covered with a thin layer of African moabi wood, provide optimal acoustics, and the hall is equipped with state-of-the-art sound and video equipment for recording.
