A winner of top prizes in the Walter M. Naumburg Competition, the Seoul International Music Competition, and the Isang Yun Competition, Christopher Guzman has performed throughout Europe, North and South America, and Asia. Following a win at the Concours International de Piano d’Orléans, he toured France extensively, giving performances and leading master classes. As a chamber musician, Guzman has collaborated with violinist Ilya Gringolts, violist Antoine Tamestit, and fellow pianists David Fray and Jeremy Denk, and he has performed with members of the Berliner Philharmoniker, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the San Francisco Symphony, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, and the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2024, he was appointed to the keyboards position in Chicago's Grant Park Symphony Orchestra. His program, highlighting études and dances, showcases music of Chopin, Ravel, and Scriabin, as well as Sam Shepherd, a visiting professor of composition at the University of Chicago and recipient of the 2024 Charles Ives Living Award.

Located in the Ryan Center for the Musical Arts, this 400-seat hall features a 40-foot glass wall offering views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline. Undulating walls of Forest Stewardship Council–certified wood, covered with a thin layer of African moabi wood, provide optimal acoustics, and the hall is equipped with state-of-the-art sound and video equipment for recording.
