This piece is part of a large-scale, ongoing cycle of pieces inspired by the simple swinging motions of pendulums, along with the more complex forces that allow a pendulum’s movement to continue or dissipate.
Bienen School associate professor Alex Mincek is a composer, performer, and co-director of the New York-based Wet Ink Ensemble. He is a recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, Alpert Award, and multiple awards from the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
