NEW in Winter Quarter 2026, Bienen Hour is an opportunity for Bienen School of Music students to purposefully gather for various activities and performances.
Sessions will include conversations and mini-lectures on topics such as research funding opportunities, preventing music-related injuries, and leveraging your music training for various career paths. Performances will feature Bienen students as well as guest artists.
WHO: This program is intended for all on-campus Bienen students. MUSIC 100-0 Bienen Hour has been added to students’ schedules unless a time conflict exists with another winter quarter class.
WHEN/WHERE: Fridays from 1:00-1:50 p.m. during Winter Quarter 2026. Most events will take place in Galvin Recital Hall; see schedule below for full details, including alternate venues.
WHY: This new initiative aims to create a space for Bienen students to engage with one another and build community outside the classroom.
