Clarinet Studio and Military Band Concert

Seating is by ticket only. Tickets will be issued at the door, first come, first served, starting at 6:45 p.m.

Bienen School alumni from the United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own,” Navy Band, the “President’s Own” Marine Band, West Point Band, and overseas military bands join the school’s clarinet studio for performances featuring ensembles large and small. The program includes a clarinet choir arrangement of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s Capriccio espagnol and a Fantasie on clarinet works of Carl Maria von Weber.

Located in the Ryan Center for the Musical Arts, this 400-seat hall features a 40-foot glass wall offering views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline. Undulating walls of Forest Stewardship Council–certified wood, covered with a thin layer of African moabi wood, provide optimal acoustics, and the hall is equipped with state-of-the-art sound and video equipment for recording.
