 The School of Music sponsors 16 major ensembles, several of which are open to non-music majors as well as members of the Evanston community. Each organization offers approximately three major performances each academic year.

A variety of small combos; enables students to gain experience in the jazz idiom and to improve improvisational skills. Student composers and arrangers may write for various groups.

Baroque Music Ensemble
Performs music written before 1800
on both period and modern instruments performs with an emphasis
on masterworks from the Baroque period. The ensemble is open
to performers on modern instruments and period instruments and
singers of every voice-type. At least one performance is given
each quarter.
